Women in Dev approached Creative Deer with the requirement to design and develop an effective website that portrays their mission effectively. As they support global movements and organizations working to achieve gender equality and progress global health, they wanted us to design a website that could attract more organizations and ultimately join them to achieve their mission.

Creative Deer worked closely with the Women in Dev team to develop a deep understanding of the long terms and short terms goals. And after analyzing the business objective, we decided to create a custom design on WordPress that fulfills the client’s needs.

For easy navigation, we have designed a simple structure of the website. However, the design is clean, professional, and has a more feminine approach. The minimalistic design has an intuitive user interface, and it lets the site’s content take priority, encouraging the user to focus on what’s being offered without struggling to navigate through unnecessary features. On top of all, the site gives the user a pleasant experience, and it works perfectly on a variety of devices.

To help Women in Dev achieve its mission, we followed a custom process to deliver a unique design. The design of the website is simple and minimalistic and is easy to navigate, which gives the user a pleasant experience. As far as the copy of the website is concerned, it was provided by the Women in Dev and we added important information in vital places to make it look perfect. Besides this, the text size and font are varied to split up content sections, which are often placed on different colored backgrounds, making the content easier to digest. And to make the design more appealing, there are also images and sliders.

Technology

We were in charge of building a responsive website, and our team completed it effectively using the WordPress CMS with a custom layout and design. We implemented a complete backend solution, and the technical WordPress solution includes some advanced custom plugins and a flexible page template with multiple editable sections.

We also used Gutenberg for editing content for custom post types and blog posts.
